Refund & Warranty Policy.
We want every Forever Linked piece to be loved for years. Because permanent jewelry is welded directly to your body and custom-fit on the spot, the policies below help us deliver a hygienic, premium service while setting clear, friendly expectations.
Effective & last updated · May 9, 2026
1. All Sales Are Final
For hygiene, customization and welding-related reasons, all permanent jewelry sales are final. Once a chain has been measured, sized and welded to your body, it is considered worn and we cannot offer refunds, exchanges or returns.
- No refunds or exchanges on welded pieces
- No refunds on charms, connectors or add-ons after they are welded into a piece
- Deposits for private parties and events are non-refundable but may be transferable to a new date with sufficient notice (see Terms & Conditions)
2. Re-Weld Policy
Our linkers inspect every piece before you leave to make sure your weld is secure. Life still happens — chains can snag, stretch or break. Our policy:
- Complimentary re-weld if your jewelry breaks at the weld spot within 48 hours of your appointment
- Standard re-weld pricing ($10) for any other break, snag, or removal — at any Athens popup, appointment or private party
- We cannot offer replacements, refunds, or discounts for lost chains — once the piece is on you, it's subject to your lifestyle, work, and other factors outside our control
- Re-weld appointments must be booked in advance
If the chain itself is damaged, lost or significantly stretched, replacement chain may be required at standard pricing. The customer is responsible for the cost of replacement chain or charms.
3. Realistic Expectations
Permanent jewelry is delicate by design. It is not indestructible. Chains can break under pressure, snags or accidental tugs — this is intentional and protects your skin from injury. Normal wear and tear is part of owning fine jewelry.
4. Warranty Limitations
We stand behind the quality of our welds. We do not guarantee against:
- Chain breakage from snagging, pulling or accidental damage
- Stretching, kinking or deformation from misuse
- Tarnishing caused by chemicals, chlorine, salt water or harsh cleaners
- Loss of jewelry from any cause
- Damage from sleeping rough on the chain, exercise equipment, sports or accidents
5. Chain Material Education
14k Gold-Filled
A thick layer of solid 14k gold mechanically bonded over a brass core — approximately 100x thicker than gold-plated jewelry. With reasonable care, gold-filled holds up beautifully for years of daily wear.
925 Sterling Silver
Solid silver with a small amount of alloy for strength. Sterling can naturally tarnish over time and benefits from gentle polishing with a soft cloth.
Stainless Steel / PVD
When offered, stainless and PVD-coated chains are highly durable and resist tarnish. Coatings can wear over time depending on lifestyle and chemical exposure.
Solid 14k Gold (Forever Collection)
Solid gold throughout — no plating, no filling. The most durable option and the highest-value piece we offer, intended as an heirloom investment.
6. Removal Policy
Permanent jewelry can be safely removed at any time by snipping the chain with a small pair of scissors or jewelry pliers. There is no damage to the skin.
- TSA / airport security: our pieces typically pass through security without issue, but you may be asked to remove them — clip if needed
- Surgery: follow your medical team's instructions and remove jewelry when asked
- MRI scans: all permanent jewelry must be removed before MRI imaging
Re-welds after intentional removal are available at standard re-weld pricing.
7. Minors
Clients under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present at the appointment to provide consent and sign the waiver. We reserve the right to decline service if guardian consent cannot be verified.
8. Medical Disclaimer
- Metal sensitivity: if you have known sensitivities or allergies to metals, please discuss before booking. Our 14k gold-filled and sterling silver are nickel-free and hypoallergenic for most clients, but reactions are still possible.
- Pacemakers and electrical devices: our welder produces a brief, low-energy spark. If you have a pacemaker, defibrillator or similar electrical medical device, please inform us in advance — we may decline welding or recommend alternatives for your safety.
- Customer responsibility: by receiving service, you acknowledge that you have disclosed relevant medical information and assume responsibility for your decision to receive permanent jewelry.
9. Lost Pieces
We do not replace lost permanent jewelry, but we'd love to weld you something new and help you start a new chapter.
